| Cerec |
Our Cerec machine - a computer-assisted piece of equipment that can
create new inlays (an alternative to large fillings), crowns and veneers in one visit.
In other words - no impressions, no temporary crowns, and material which
closely matches natural teeth. All this, and a two-year guarantee!
We consider this to be a major advance in dentistry.
Bruce is an internationally accredited trainer of Cerec techniques and is a member of ACDNA (Academy of Computerised Dentistry of North America). |
| Healozone |
Healozone This is a revolutionary piece of equipment and at present we are the only dental practice in Lincoln to offer this service. The machine uses ozone gas to heal tooth decay and provides many advantages over the traditional method of drilling and filling. It is pain free and does not involve any drilling or injections. It actually heals the tooth instead of cutting bits out of it. It only takes a few seconds to use and is totally safe. |
| Diagnodent |
A Diagnodent which is a diagnostic sensor in the form of a low powered
laser light which can detect decay at its earliest stage, making air abrasion
a viable option for removing decay. |
| Cameras |
Intra-oral so that you can see around your mouth, and understand
why a suggested course of treatment is advisable. |
| Digital x-ray |
Digital x-ray machines which develop your x-rays immediately - no
phoning back a couple of days later for the results. We can therefore
diagnose and treat a problem during one appointment. |
| Air abrasion |
Air abrasion allows the dentist to remove decay whilst leaving the maximum amount of healthy tooth intact. This procedure can frequently be performed without the need for an injection of local anaesthetic - no more droopy lips! |
| Relative analgesia |
Relative analgesia is a mixture of gas and air that reduces anxiety and
pain awareness. However, you are fully aware of your surroundings and
able to resume normal activities within a few minutes. |
| Patient information |
There is also a Patient information visual display programme on DVD available in the
waiting room which gives you a brief glimpse of the way your mouth and
smile can be enhanced. A more detailed explanation is on film in the
surgeries which is used in conjunction with your professional's advice. |
